Joyce Lambert looks over an antique cabinet at C &N Whatever's Antique Shop on Christmas Eve as she, like other shoppers in the area, seeks to take advantage of Atmore's temporary three percent sales tax elimination for the month of December. The verdict is not yet in on whether or not the sales tax proved to be a success, but the city has garnered media attention from throughout the state and nation for the plan.
