Mr. Warnell "Baldy" Johnson died Saturday, l.December 22, 2001, at Genesis Medical Center East Campus in Rock Island, Il
He was a native of Atmore and resident of Rock Island. He had been a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Mr. Johnson was retired from Caterpillar Tractors and owned and operated Baldy's Corner in Rock Island.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Annice Butler Johnson of Rock Island; two sons, Greg Bowens and his wife, Shasta, of Calif. and Clinton Butler and his wife, Patricia, of Pensacola; two daughters, Sandy Johnson and Angela Johnson, both of Rock Island; six grandchildren, Shasta Bowens of Calif., Lakeshia Johnson and Kaniya Johnson, both of Rock Island, Clinton Butler Jr, Markita Butler and Denyell Butler, all of Pensacola; two great-grandchildren, Kylan Johnson and Kylia Corruthers; mother-in-law, Marie Butler of Pensacola; six sisters, Lillian Charles of Chicago, Ill., Melvin Lee and Willie Neal Lee, both of Atmore, Delois and Cecil Cardwell and Eunice and Clyde Bolling, all of Pensacola and Margaret and Chester Lyons; three brothers, Narvie Johnson, Walter Johnson and his wife, Johnnie Mae, all of Rock Island and Ledell Johnson and his wife, Gloria, of Atmore; sisters-in-law, Martha Pettway and her husband, Freemons, and Lillie M. Butler, all of Calif., Mildred Wright, Reanet Butler and Jeannet Butler, all of Pensacola; brother-in-law, Clauda Butler and his wife, Josephine, of Pensacola and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 29 at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Freddie Banks officiating.
Burial was a Stallworth Cemetery.
Pallbearers and flowerbearers were family and friends.
Robinson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
