Chiefs open season Feb. 19 at home

The Northview Chiefs baseball team is warming up the cool spring climate with thier hopes of a successful season and a trip to the State Playoffs.
Another reason why Coach Lashley is so happy is the return of 12 players from last year's team. A total of of six seniors and eight juniors are returning for the Chiefs. The players returning are: senior Dustin Kelly, senior Matt Woods, senior Eric Smith, senior Josh Greenwell, senior Ben Covan, senior Josh Rogers, junior Jake Hollingsworth, junior Seth Sims, junior Chase Lashley, junior Jay Camac, junior Ben Gilmore, junior Nick Gradia, junior Daniel Kelly, and junior Chad Burkett.
The other players on the Chiefs team are: senior Mike Eady, junior Brad Larson, sophomore Nick Driver, senior Shane Preable, junior, and junior Wesley Stanton.
Woods and junior Seth Sims form an impressive duo on the mound for the Chiefs.
Both pitchers should be in good hands on the receiving end of most of their pitches with catcher Dustin Kelly.
The Chiefs offense will rely on the bats of Daniel Kelly, Seth Sims, Kelly, and Woods.
The game against Pensacola High School will on February 19 in Northview. The game will start at 4:00.
