The Daphne Police Department is investigating a complaint that two Escambia County Middle School students engaged in "inappropriate sexual conduct" with another ECMS student Friday.
Two juvenile males are being investigated for "an alleged sexual misconduct complaint" against a female juvenile on the same field trip according to Daphne Police Captain Charlie McNichol.
McNichol said the students were in Daphne on a field trip and stopped at Burger King, where the alleged incident occurred.
According to McNichol, the students had stopped at the Burger King for lunch after a field trip visit to the U.S.S. Alabama Battleship Park in Mobile.
Officials are unable to say exactly what happened pending a complete investigation, but did say that the plaintiff and her parents met with DPD investigators on Tuesday afternoon.
The juvenile female said that she was touched inappropriately by the two male students.
McNichol said that the Department of Human Resources will be involved in the investigation.
ECMS Principal Herbert Payne was unavailable for comment at press time.
