Benjamin Franklin Hudson "Jr.," 49, died Sunday, April 7, 2002, at Mobile Infirmary Hospital.
Mr. Hudson was a resident of Atmore and member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Escambia County Training School and attended Carver State Technical School. He worked for many years as a professional barber in Mobile.
Mr. Hudson is survived by a son, Tracy F. Hudson of Portland, Ore.; two grandsons, Tracy Hudson Jr. and Sherad Hudson, both of Mobile; his mother, Paralee Hudson-Lamar of Mobile; three sisters, Flora Mae Tanner and her husband, Clarence, Bernice Johnson and her husband, Alfred, all of Mobile, and Fannie Winston and her husband, Carl, of Cleveland, Ohio; four brothers, Clarence L. Hudson and his wife, Julia, of Mobile, Alfred Hudson and his wife, Shelia, of Atlanta, Ga., Morris Hudson and his wife, Rosetta, of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Clarence E. Hudson and his wife, Dorothy, of Montgomery; three nieces, Shanta Hudson-Fields of Dallas, Texas and Felicia Hudson and Tynikkia Tanner, both of Mobile; a great niece, Courtney Fields of Dallas; a great nephew, Carlos Hurd Jr. of Mobile; two aunts, Mattie Howard of Mobile and Hattie Hudson of Magnolia; two uncles, President Williams and his wife, Annabell, of Pensacola and Cleveland Agee of Chicago, Ill. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 13 at 1 p.m. at Deliverance Ministry of Jesus Christ with Elder Hattie Bishop officiating.
Burial was at Stallworth cemetery.
Robinson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
