Mr. Bobby Lester Blackburn, 52, died Saturday, June 15, 2002, in Atmore.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Atmore and had retired from the U. S. Navy after 21 years of service. He was employed by the U. S. Postal Service in Brewton and attended the Baptist church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Blackburn.
Mr. Blackburn is survived by his wife, Judy Blackburn of Atmore; his father, Bill Blackburn of Atmore and his son, Lance Blackburn and his wife, Sascha, of Atmore.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 18 at 10 a.m. at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Lance Blackburn officiating.
Burial followed at Canoe Freewill Cemetery.
Eastside Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Joe Winford "Joe Buck" Buckley
Mr. Joe Winford "Joe Buck" Buckley, 53, died Friday, June 14, 2002, at a local hospital.
Mr. Buckley was a native of Columbia, Ga., former resident of Houma, La. and resident of Flomaton for the past 26 years. He was an employee of H&P Drilling Rig 161 and attended Calvary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gracie Mae Buckley; two brothers, Michael Buckley and Jimmy Buckley; a grandson, Skyler Stewart and his father-in-law, Bruce Conway.
Mr. Buckley is survived by his wife, Hazel Buckley of Flomaton; his father, Harris W. Buckley of Columbia; two sons, Joseph Todd Buckley and Adam J. Buckley, both of Flomaton; two daughters, Tina Buckley of Flomaton and April Gibson of Century; his sister, Becky Humphries of Sumrall, Miss. and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 18 at 2 p.m. at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Howard officiating.
Burial followed at Little Escambia Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Daniel Hagan, Wayne Mixon, Trent Boutwell, Charles Lackey, Brad Morris and Scott Anderson.
Eastside Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
