Lucy Newton Little

Mrs. Lucy Newton Little, 89, of Byrneville, died Saturday, June 15, 2002, at a local hospital.
She was a native of Greenville but had been a resident of Byrneville for the past 80 years. She was a charter member of Beulah Chapel Assembly of God and worked at the Bluff Springs post office for four years and the Century post office for 13 years.
Mrs. Little is survived by her husband of 71 years, Orbie L. Little of Byrneville; a son, Edward L. Little and his wife, Earlie, of Byrneville; a daughter, Annie May Renfrow and her husband, Richard, of Pace; a brother, Don Newton of Pensacola; two sisters, Louise Dockens of Christian Home and Duffie Wells of Bluff Springs; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 17 at 10 a.m. at Beulah Chapel Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Shelton Kindih and the Rev. John Fillingim officiating.
Burial followed at Beulah Chapel Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Ricky Renfrow, Wade Hall, Vic Neve, Larry Little, Sean Little and Buddy Norton. Honorary pallbearers were Evelyn Killam, Syble Killiam, Mary Lois Burkett, Mildred Burkett, Lucile Renfroe and Selma Upton.
Eastside Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
