The Atmore Open Tennis Tournament will be held al Tom Byrne Park in Atmore on July 19-20, 2002 with the deadline for entry being Monday, July 15 at 5 p.m. The tournament will include singles – Men's A, B, and C, Boys' Singles (19 &Under) and Women's Single and doubles – Men's A and B and Women's Doubles, and mixed doubles – A and B.
Tournament play will begin Thursday, July 18 beginning at 5:30 p.m.. for local participants (Atmore, Flomaton, Monroeville, Bay Minette &Brewton ). Tournament play will continue beginning al 5:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon and continue Saturday morning, afternoon and night. If needed, Sunday will be used to complete the tournament. The last several tournaments have been completed on Saturday night.

The fee for singles is $12 and $24 for doubles plus one unopened can of optic yellow balls for each event entered.
