Junior Miss set for Sat.

The 2002 Escambia County Junior Miss program is set for this Saturday, and contestants and organizers are busy working to make sure this year's event will be a success.
The program will be held July 20 at 7 p.m. in the Jefferson Davis Community College Auditorium in Brewton. Tickets are $5 and available at the door or from any Junior Miss contestant. Children under 10 are admitted free.
With over $10,000 in scholarships to be awarded at the local level, contestants are vying for more than a title. And with a chance to receive over $60,000 in scholarships by becoming America's Junior Miss, there is plenty at stake.
The girls will be judged on fitness, poise, creative and performing arts, as well as an interview session. The girls will be judged in their scholastic success prior to the program Saturday.
