I had the privilege of being involved in the Greater Escambia Council of the arts production of OLIVER, recently presented at the Atmore Lions Club Community Center. I would like to express my appreciation to everyone who attended and supported this project, the sponsors and all those who worked so diligently to see to the success of this presentation.
We are fortunate to have community theater of such a high caliber here in our city. A guest in our home last weekend, who resides in a much larger city in central Alabama, commented that opportunities such as this were not available in her home town and she was very impressed that Atmore and Escambia County have the resources to offer a production such as OLIVER to our community.
We are also grateful for such capable leadership such as that offered by Phil and Shea Johnson, Jerry Janes, Dayton Long and a host of others who will give of their time and energies to provide such a special event for our area. If you have the opportunity to see a future presentation, or to be a sponsor for the Greater Escambia Council for the Arts, please be encouraged to do so. You will not be disappointed in your investment in this local theater organization, a real asset to our community.
Thanks to all whose good efforts make presentations such as this a reality for the Atmore area!
