Mrs. Jeanette S. Chafin, 52, died Monday, August 19, 2002, in Rabun.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Rabun. She was employed at Standard Furniture Company and was a member of New Providence Baptist Church.
Mrs. Chafin is survived by her husband, Tom Chafin of Rabun; a daughter, Joyce Ann Taylor of Rabun; two stepsons, Mark Chafin of Rabun and Thomas Chafin Jr. of Mobile; two stepdaughters, Bonita Wadill of Birmingham and Maria Verdugo of Robertsdale; four brothers, Elbert Stacey, Bo Stacey and Bob Stacey, all of Rabun and Willie Stacey of Pine Grove; four sisters, Marie Hadley and Joyce Hadley, both of Rabun; Carolyn Stacey Hadley of Perdido and Diane Sanks of Dyas; a grandson, Gregory Luzell Taylor; four step-grandchildren; seven nieces and two nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 21 from 6 p.m. until funeral time at Providence Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 22 at 2 p.m. and the Rev. Richard Shorter officiating. Burial will follow at Dean Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Chafin, Nick Verdugo, Robert Chafin, Willie Wayne Stacey, Bo Brown and Rubin Hadley.
Eastside Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
