Kristen Gehman of A.C. Moore Elementary competed against her peers from all the other public schools in Escambia County and became the countywide winner among third and fourth grade students in the Countywide Storytelling Contest. A week earlier, she competed against 17 other classroom winners at A.C. Moore to become the schoolwide winner for the second year in a row. The story she told was "The Legend of the Indian Paintbrush." She is a student in Charlene Ray's fourth grade class.
