The 32nd Annual Thanksgiving and Intertribal Pow Wow dance competition, hosted by the Poarch Creek Indians, concluded on Friday after two days of judging. The dance competition is held each year at the Pow Wow and includes a spectacular Grand Entry of all the dancers before each individual dance.
The following winners were announced:
First place winners in the Tiny Tot Girl's division were: Lexie Daughtry, Taylor Hill, Julianne Butler, Tristen Booth, Ashton Thomas, Alana Jim, Raven Sylestine, Madision McGhee, Cierra McGhee, Kyla Roberts, Trista Hill, Taya Hill.
First place winners in the Tiny Tot Boy's division were: Jaylan Daughtry, Ty Hill, Trevor Lecklet, Christopher Fay, John Burridge, Payton Howard, Kane Picotte and Hunter Reed.
The first place winner in Little Girl's Fancy Dance was Megan Tucker. The first alternate was Tuisha Roberts. The second alternate was Sabra Henderson. The first place winner in Little Girl's Traditional Dance was Candace Sylestine. The first alternate was Tori Rodriguez. The second alternate was Leslie Bell.
The first place winner in Little Boy's Fancy Dance was Jalen Sylestine. The first alternate was Hunter Burridge. The second alternate was Jaken Sylestine. The first place winner in Little Boy's Traditional was Ricky Reed. There were no alternates. The first place winner in Little Boy's Grass was Jaron Sylestine. There were no alternates.
The first place winner in Teen Girl's Fancy was Heather Wongittilin. The first alternate was Jennifer Goss. The first place winner in Teen Girl's Traditional was Nicole Rich.
