Northview High School closed out the Jay Tournament Thursday night with a 93-92 last-second win against Flomaton to improve to 4-1 and clinch the tournament championship. The Chiefs were leading by 20 in the 4th when Flomaton rallied back to take the lead by two points with 13 seconds left. With two seconds left in the game, Northview threw the ball down court and it touched off the hands of a Flomaton player to set up the Chiefs for an inbound pass.
"We set up an inbound play and got the ball to Daryl Cohen and he hit three points, nothing but net," Northview Head Coach Cliff Gillies said. Cohen finished the night with 43 points, Maurice Myles added 15 points and John Madison contributed 13 points in the contest.
