Thanks for help with the tree
Dear Editor,
I would like to thank the following people and businesses for their help when a tree fell in my back yard and landed on the main power line on South Main Street in the early morning hours of Christmas Eve 2002.
First of all, I would like to thank the Lord that the tree fell when it did and no one was injured.
Thanks to the Atmore Police Department for their quick response and efforts to keep the area secure and traffic away from the area. Thanks to the Atmore Fire Department for their help in securing the area also.
Thanks to the best neighbors anyone could have, Charles "Doodle" McDonald, Charlotte McDonald and Mike Smith for their help when the fence got damaged and put up a temporary fence to keep my dog from getting into the highway.
Thanks to Scotty and Karen Flowers of H and H Electric for coming so quickly and repairing the meter box and pole back on the house so that power could be restored.
Thanks to Jackie Lee of Alabama Power for giving me advice on what to do when I could not get through on the 800 line.
Thanks to Tommy and Vickie Sellers of Alabama Power for going out of their way to help me. Thanks to Mediacom for putting the cable back up so quickly. Thanks to James P. Digmon for repairing the roof. Thanks to Adrian Stewart and crew for removing the tree that fell and cutting another tree that could have been a problem in the future.
Through the quick response of these people and crews of Alabama Power Company, my power was restored by the time I got home from work Tuesday evening.
I feed truly blessed to work at Jerry's Hardware, for if I had not been there, I would not have known anyone to contact for help.
Thanks to my boss, Jerry Cochran, and to my co-workers, Louise White, Albert Philyaw, Chris Woods, Nathan Benner and Jamie Barlow for being supportive of me during a long and stressful day at work.
May God richly bless everyone involved in the coming years. Thank you again.
Terri Robinson,
Atmore
