Flomaton Speedway has announced its upcoming schedule and the addition of two new divisions for 2003.
The Late Models and Bombers will race every week, along with the street stocks and hobby stocks. The Bomber Class is an entry level, "factory stock" type class that will allow new drivers to get into racing with minimal cost or racing knowledge.
Opening day for the 2003 season will be March 23, with racing set to begin at 1:30 p.m. The track will be open for practice on March 15 from 12 p.m. until dark.
Several big races are on the schedule for the season, including the O'Reilly Auto Parts S.U.P.R. Spring Cars, who will be making their first-ever visit to Flomaton Speedway on Sept. 13. These are the full size V-8 springs that tour all over the South, but this will be the group's only appearance in Alabama or Florida this year.
Flamton Speedway will also host its Annual Fourth of July and Labor Day Shootouts, with big payouts in all classes. Winners of each division at those races will also earn a starting provisional in the feature of the Second Annual Gulf Coast Dirt Track Championships, to be held Oct. 25-26.
Last year's championships were a big success in bringing in drivers from all over the Gulf Coast.
