Chiefs fall in second round of state regionals

The Northview Chiefs were back in action on Tuesday night at home against the Jefferson County Tigers in round two of the Region 1, Class 2A Florida State Regionals, dropping a heart-breaking 78-67 loss.
The Chiefs appeared to be in control In the first half of the game, jumping out to an early lead but they couldn't sustain the drive and began to fall behind.
Tigers Head Coach Bobby Parrish paid homage to the host team in the tough fought contest. "The Chiefs were a very good team, but I think we tired them out in the first half of the game," said Parrish.
The Tiger coach paid particular attention to Northview's Daryl Cohen in his post-game comments.
The Chiefs battled back in the last period of the game but the Tigers answered them basket for basket in the all-out effort to advance.
The Northview Chiefs ended their season with an 18-8 record, having made it to the second round of the State Regionals. The Tigers ended the night with a 19-12 record.
