A Molino man was killed early Friday morning when his vehicle was struck by another car on Quintette Road.
Jacob Reed, 20, of Barth Road in Molino, was driving a 1986 Ford car when it was hit by a 2000 Oldsmobile driven by Debra L. D'Angelo, 44.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, Reed's vehicle was stopped on the north shoulder of Quintette Road west of Frank Ard Road for unspecified reasons. D'Angelo's vehicle was traveling west on Quintette Road approaching Reed's car.
As D'Angelo's car was passing, Reed apparently turned left into the path of the Oldsmobile, which struck the Ford in the left side.
Both vehicles came to a final rest on the south shoulder of Quintette Road. D'Angelo, who was wearing a seat belt, was reported to have suffered no injuries. Whether or not Reed was wearing a seat belt is unknown.
The accident is still under investigation by state troopers.
