Three Escambia Academy athletes were selected to represent EA in the AISA All-Star basketball game on March 1. Jessica Gibbs, Bradford Price, and Jace Beasley, all who played basketball for the Cougars throughout high school, were selected to play in the game.
Gibbs, the only senior on the team, led the Lady Cougars in rebounds this season with a total of 240. She also had the second highest free throw shooting percentage and the second highest points per game average. Gibbs scored 259 points this year to bring her career total to 987 points.
Price scored 208 points this season despite an ankle injury in the middle of the season that kept him benched for several games. He led the team in assists with 101 and in steals with 62. Price also led the team in free throw percentage.
Beasley had the second highest number of rebounds for the Cougars this season with 142. He also led the team with 319 points for the season.
All three also attended the All-Star Banquet.
