Look out WWE, Atmore is ready to lay the Smackdown on you. The Escambia County High School Gym will be rumbling this Saturday when XW-2000 Wrestling hits the canvas with a night of exciting matches and all-out fanfare for the whole family.
The main match, entitled Beauty and the Beast, will consist of all-girl action. Miss Taylor, the former valet to B.A.D., will test her talent againt Fire, an explosive combatant.
The show will also feature XW-2000 federation superstars Ron Fargo, Ryan Fury, B.A.D., Kornbred, Chief Ironclaw, Stone Cold Steve Fury and several surprise guest stars.
The wrestling extravaganza is being sponsored by Masland Carpet's Relay for Life team, the Masland Rugrats. The money raised will go to benefit victims of cancer.
"We felt like this would attract the largest crowd," said Sara Skelton, human resource manager for Masland Carpet. "We felt like this would raise a lot of money and that's what this is all about. We want everyone to come hungry and buy lots of food."
The doors will open at 4 p.m. and the bell will ring for the first contest at 6 p.m. Ringside tickets are $10. General adults will be $8; children six to 11 will be $6; and children five and under will be free.
