Kindergarten registration for Baldwin County Schools is scheduled for April 16 from 8 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
Students must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 2, 2003 to be eligible to attend public kindergarten. Parents should pre-register their child at the school serving their attendance zone. Parents or guardians are encouraged to bring their child when they pre-register so that new kindergarten students may be given a readiness survey.
Records needed for registration include: certified birth certificate, Social Security Card, State of Alabama Certificate of Immunization (IMM-50), and Measles Immunization Certificate (IMM-90) or a Certificate of Religious Exemption (IMM-52). Forms may be obtained from local physicians or from the Baldwin County Health Department.
Pre-registration helps provide the local schools with an accurate count of children planning to attend classes in the fall. Late registrations, if necessary, will be processed in the principal's office. For more information, call 937-0324.
