The following short profiles on military personnel who have local connections and are on active duty are provided here to remind readers of the local people serving our country in time of war.

Joe Patera Rabb
Private Joe Patera Rabb, an Atmore native, is currently serving in the Fort Deposit National Guard 781st Transportation Company which is stationed in Kuwait.
He is the son of Patricia English of Atmore and Joe Crenshaw of Philadelphia, Pa. His grandparents are the late A.C. and Ola Mae Rabb and Johnny and Mary Crenshaw Evans. He is the brother of Courtney English of Atmore. He is also the nephew of Shirley Williams, Debra Brown, Jacqueline Rabb and Jeffery Rabb, all of Atmore and a family friend, Dan Gulley. Joe is a member of the Second Mt. Triumph Baptist Church of Atmore.
Todd Nicholas Phillips
An Atmore native, Todd Nicholas Phillips is an E-8 with the United States Army where he is currently stationed in Colorado where he performs operations on munitions.
He is the son of Ruth Phillips and the grandson of Mattie Hawkins. He is the brother of Theresa, Joann, Shan, Quinn, Rome and Glen. He has one daughter, Todesia Flavors.
Terry G. Norris
An Atmore native, is a Chief Warrant Officer II , in the United States Marine Corp. He is currently stationed at Camp Arifjan in Kuwait with the Marines Logistics Command Liaison Element Unit working with the United States Army where he manages the receipt, storage and issuance of ammunition.
He is the son of Edgar and Molly Norris of Atmore and is married to Becky (Wells) Norris. He is the grandson of Mrs. Agnes Allen. He has a sister, Janet; and two nieces,Whitney and Jordan McGill, all of Atmore. To send a message of support, email him at norristg@mlcdm.usmc.mil.
Corey I. Carter
An Atmore native, Corey I. Carter, is a Staff Sergeant, E-5 with the United States Air Force where he serves the 31AMXSS F-16 Fighter Squadron at Aviand Air Base, Italy. Corey is an Aircraft Electrical Environmental Technician.
