U. S. Sen. Richard C. Shelby will address Escambia County residents at a town meeting on Thursday at 2 p.m. at Atmore Heritage Park in the Watson Cabin.
Sen. Shelby will discuss his legislative agenda for the 108th Congress as well as important issues facing the nation and the state of Alabama. Following his remarks, Sen. Shelby will open the floor to questions and comments from those in attendance.
"Over the years, these meetings have provided an excellent opportunity for area residents to listen and voice their opinions on the activities of our government. This will be a great chance to discuss the important issues facing our state and our nation in the 108th Congress," Sen. Shelby said.
Sen. Shelby holds a county meeting in each county once a year and has held over 1,000 county meetings since being elected to serve the state of Alabama.
