History has been passed down from one generation to another since the beginning of time through the tradition of oral storytelling. A tradition that is alive and well today, storytelling is not only a medium for passing along history, but is fast becoming a national phenomenon as a popular form of entertainment.
On Friday, May 9th the Atmore Community Cup will hold a storytelling group meeting at 6 p.m. for anyone who has an interest in promoting this form of artistic expression in Atmore.
The public is encouraged to attend and those who have stories to share are invited to participate at no cost to themselves. For more information, contact Lloyd Albritton at (850) 384-6676 or by e-mail at lloydalbritton@aol.com.
