Hilda Brown Corley

Mrs. Hilda Brown Corley, 90, of Walnut Hill, died Monday in Pensacola. She was born in Huxford Feb. 13, 1913 to the late William Arthur and Betty Matilda Keller Brown. She was a homemaker and a life long member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church and served in many capacities in her church. She was preceded in death by her husband, D.B. Corley, Jr.; a son-in-law, Garland "Plugy" McGhee, Jr.; three brothers, J.D. Brown, Woodrow Brown, and Kenneth Brown.
She is survived by one son, Tom and wife Jackie of Sarasota, Fla.; one daughter, Carole Corley McGhee of Walnut Hill; one sister, Annie Cruitt of Coleman; two granddaughters, Lisa Corley and fiance Ben Minteer of Phoenix, Ariz. and Nikki McGhee Boatner and husband Christopher E. of Columbus, Ga; and three great-grandchildren, Marissa, Jacob, and Daniel Boatner.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jesse Wood officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Baptist Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6 – 8 p.m Wednesday at Johnson Quimby Funeral Home.

Clara Belle Braxton Russell

Mrs. Clara Belle Braxton Russell, 92, of Oak Grove, died Monday in Pensacola. A homemaker, she was born in Holmes County on Dec. 15, 1910 to the late John and Becky Belle Currie Braxton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay E. Russell, and son, Willis Earle "Jack" Russell.
She is survived by five sons, Robert Jay of Oak Grove, Danny Hugh of Pensacola, Emmett O'Neal of Jonesville, La., Keith Ames of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Johnny Lamer of Milton, Fla.; two daughters, Betty Russell Thompson of Pensacola Beach and Billie Jean Marsh of Oak Grove; 23 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday from New Life Fellowship Assembly of God Church with Brother Benny Stokes officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. in Bayview Memorial Cemetery in Pensacola. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time at New Life Fellowship. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association., P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, Ohio 44720.

Willie Mae Roberson Crowe

Mrs. Willie Mae Roberson-Crowe, 87, of Dayton, Ohio, died Sunday in Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton.
She was a native of Atmore and a resident of Dayton for many years. She was a homemaker and a member of United Missionary Baptist Church, Dayton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfonso Crowe, and her parents, Sandy and Eliza Roberson.
Mrs. Roberson-Crowe is survived by one daughter, Ruthie Mae Hall of Dayton; one sister, Jessie Roberson DeWise of Pensacola; three granddaughters; nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday from Jones Street Holiness Church with Bishop Willie L. Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held 10 – 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Bobby Joe Ryland
Mr. Bobby Joe Ryland, 63, of Huxford, died June 15 at a local hospital. A resident of Escambia County his entire life, he attended the Assembly of God and was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Brooks.
He is survived by three sons, John and wife Barbara of Atmore, Ronnie J. and wife Viola Dunn of Nokomis, and Donnie W. and wife Connie of Bay Minette. He is also survived by his daughter, Sherry R. Smith and husband Reth of Bay Minette; two brothers, Rev. J.E. of Bay Minette and Douglas of Davisville; a sister, Jeanette Brown of Molino; three grandchildren ;and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were 10 a.m. June 17 at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. J. E. Ryland officiating. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dale Ryland, Roger Brown, Ricky Brooks, Kenny Hayles, Roger Hadley and Wayne Fillingim.
Eastside Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
