Lawrence Eugene "Larry" Fischer

Mr. Lawrence Eugene "Larry" Fischer, 90, of Atmore, died Monday in Atmore. He was born December 3, 1912 in Booneville to the late Mannie Robert and Ada Boone Fischer. He was the owner of Atmore Coffee Co. and was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife, Abbie Lou Carter Fischer.
Mr. Fischer is survived by one son, Lawrence Eugene Fischer, Jr. and wife Susan of Bentonville, Ark.; one daughter, Mildred Carolyn Jenko and husband Bill of Houston, Texas; three sisters, Olean Lowe and husband Clarence of Pensacola, Jean Flinchum and husband Bill of N.C., and Sue Fischer of Mobile; a sister in law, Velma Bosenberg of Atmore; two grandchildren, Carter Fischer and Ashley Vinson.
Funeral services were held Thursday from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Will Baker officating. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were John Erwin II, Gene Everette, Gordon Everette, Carter Fischer, Bill Jenko, and Clint Smith.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
Dr. Nick Lewis Robinson

Dr. Nick Lewis Robinson, 88, of Atmore, died Monday. He was born December 14, 1914 in Perdue Hill to the late Lee and Ida Robinson. He was a former minister and a member of Mt. Gilead Missionary Baptist Church. He was also pastor of Friendship Baptist Church in Enterprise for 47 years. He was a life long resident of Atmore and owned and operated Robinson Funeral Home for more than 50 years. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Willie Mae McGlasker, Inell Bradley, and Rosie Thompson-Rabb and four brothers, J.C. Linsey, L.T. Robinson, Oscar Robinson, and Clint Robinson.
Dr. Robinson is survived by two sisters, Alice B. Salter and Rollie Mae Frye, both of Atmore; two brothers, Otto Robinson of Detroit, Mich. and John Robinson and wife Ella of Fairhope; two sisters-in-law, Climmie Lindsey-Johnson and Josephine Robinson, both of Atmore; many nieces, nephews, cousins; a niece and caregiver, Regina Thompson-Williams; and a faithful employee, Don Jefferson.
Funeral services for Dr. Robinson were held Saturday at Mt. Gilead Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Alfonzia Williams, Sr. and Dr. S. C. Tucker officiating. Burial followed at Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers were friends of the family.

Susie M. Chafin McCary

Mrs. Susie M. Chafin McCary, 85, of Atmore, died Tuesday in Atmore. She was born in Baldwin County on November 11, 1917 to the late Fred W. and Amy C. Folmar White. She was a seamstress in Crafts &Quilt Making.
Mrs. McCary is survived by five brothers, Rev. Aubret H. White of Prattville, Everette C. White of Perdido, James Preston White of Theodore, Curtis H. White of Ray City, Ga., and Fred W. White of Brewton; one sister, Evie Dove of Davisville; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held July 3 at 2:30 p.m. from Johnson Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ronald Dove officiating. Burial followed at Guy's Chapel Cemetery in Raburn.
Johnson Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
