A Thomasville man died Sunday evening at Claude D. Kelley State Park.
Escambia County Sheriff's deputies were called to the park about 7 p.m. when a swimmer, identified as Antonio Lashawn Clark, 24, dived off the board near the camp office and did not surface.
Employees of the park were notified, and the victim was found and transported to Atmore Community Hospital.
"He was under water for approximately 10 minutes before being found," said chief deputy Maj. Mike Murphy.
Clark was pronounced dead at the hospital at 8:19 p.m.
Clark's body was transported to Mobile on Monday for an autopsy. The results had not been released as of press time.
