Hunter safety class sponsored by the Alabama Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries will be held 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. Sept. 27 and 1-5 p.m. Sept. 28 at the Jefferson Davis Community College, Brewton Campus. Escambia County Middle School 5th and 6th grade math students only and their parents/guardians are invited to Math Night from 5:30 to 7 p.m. for refreshments and fun. Math activities and SAT 10 scores.

Oct. 1
The ECHS Class of 1958 is celebrating its 45th reunion and invites the classes of 1956, 1957, 1958, 1959 and 1960 and their spouses or dates for a multi-class party at 7 p.m. Oct. 25 at the Wisteria in downtown Atmore. Heritage through quilts will be on display 8:30-2:30 at Huxford Elementary School. All residents are invited to the day-long demonstration by students and the Retirees Friendship Club of Atmore.

Nokomis Volunteer Fire Dept. will hold a yard sale starting at 7 a.m. at the firehouse.
Atmore Church of God, 90 Jacks Springs Road will hold a yard sale 8 a.m.- until
Ladies of St. Anna's Episcopal Church will hold a yard sale 8-noon with light lunch to follow. Proceeds benefit Sunday school classes.
Benefit for Terry Boyington, injured in a motorcycle accident in August. Day begins at 8 a.m. at White's Park in Bay Minette. Softball, barbecue, live music and raffles. For more information you may call Glenda Demko at 580-0121.
First Baptist Church will hold a Family Fun Fest from 5:30-7:30 at the church on Main Street. Children must be accompanied by an adult. There will be face painting, hot dogs, games, pony rides, a cake walk and more.
The annual Lassitter-Wall family reunion will be held from 11:30 a.m.- 2 p.m. at 5811 Jack Springs Road in the Creek Nation Tribal Auditorium.
Walnut Hill Rutarian Club is sponsoring a spaghetti supper and auction at the community center. The meal will begin at 4 p.m. and the auction will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 and are available at the door.

Atmore Health Department will begin giving flu shots to high risk patients, those 65 and older, or with chronic diseases such as heart disease, asthma or diabetes. Available 8-11:30 a.m. and 1-4 p.m. All Medicare patients must bring Medicaid cards.

The Boggy Bayou Mullet Festival will be held with Montgomery Gentry headlining the entertainment. The Alley Cats and the Charlie Daniels Band will also entertain. There will be crafts and food. Admission is $5 and children under 12 are admitted free. Visit for information.

Atmore Family Life Center at the old middle school on M. L. K. Ave. provides after school tutoring and a new technology program. Tutoring for exit exams is available. Kiddie Kafe, sponsored by the Bay Area Food Bank, will offer a light meal to children in the afternoon. Call 368-3761, 368-2946 or 446-1878 to register. First come, first served. Limited to 200 children. Funding provided through donations and grants. Program sponsored by Poarch Creek Nation and Escambia County Board of Education.

The American Legion hosts a Country &Western Dance every Saturday night at the Legion Hall for a $5 donation. Everyone is invited.
