Atmore Health Department will begin giving flu shots to high risk patients, those 65 and older, or with chronic diseases such as heart disease, asthma or diabetes. Available 8-11:30 a.m. and 1-4 p.m. All Medicare patients must bring Medicaid cards.

Oct. 16
Deadline for reservations for ECHS class of 1958 reunion. Escambia County High School's 1958 graduating class will celebrate their 45th reunion at a dinner-dance at 7 p.m. Oct. 25 at the Wisteria. Anyone who has ever been a member, or a teacher of the Class of '58, who would like to be a part of the celebration is welcome. Members of E.C.H.S. graduating classes of 1956, 1957, 1959, and 1960 are also invited. Dress is casual. Gerlach's Main Street Grill will cater the dinner. The cost for the event is $35 a person or $70 per couple. Reservations must be made by Oct. 16 to Buford L. Rolin, P.O.Box 19, Atmore, 36504. Escambia County Middle School will hold its Scholastic Book Fair in the media center 8 a.m.- 3 p.m. The fair will be open until 6 p.m. to accommodate parents on Parent Conference Day, Oct. 20. The fair is open to students, parents, faculty, administration and members of the community. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
Oct. 17-19
The Boggy Bayou Mullet Festival will be held with Montgomery Gentry headlining the entertainment. The Alley Cats and the Charlie Daniels Band will also entertain. There will be crafts and food. Admission is $5 and children under 12 are admitted free. Visit www.niceville.com for information.
