Covenant Hospice 10th Annual Fall Garage sale 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at Builders' Square Building, 1412 W. Fairfield Dr., Pensacola. 125,000 square feet of bargains.
Nov. 8
4th annual Toys for Tots, sponsored by L.A. Bikers, will have a giant yard sale from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Staff Chevrolet. Several families will have clothes, toys, appliances, what-nots, etc for sale. If anyone has donations for yard sale or Toys for Tots, you may contact Jody at 368-3080.
The Huxford Volunteer Fire Department is having its annual Turkey Shoot from 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. at Huxford Elementary School. There will be a concession stand open with food and drinks.
Nov. 10
Veterans receive free buffet at 5-9 p.m. Golden Corral in honor of their service to the nation.
Woodmen of the World Lodge 1872 will meet at 6:30 p.m. at VFW building at 206 West Ashley St. All members are invited to attend.
Escambia County Commission will hold its regular meeting at 9 a.m. in the courthouse in Brewton.

Atmore Family Life Center at the old middle school on M. L. K. Ave. provides after school tutoring and a new technology program. Tutoring for exit exams is available. Kiddie Kafe, sponsored by the Bay Area Food Bank, will offer a light meal to children in the afternoon. Call 368-3761, 368-2946 or 446-1878 to register. First come, first served. Limited spaces. Funding provided through donations and grants. Program in partnership with the Poarch Creek Nation and Escambia County Board of Education.
Atmore cancer support group will meet at 7 p.m. every third Monday at Atmore First Assembly of God.

The American Legion hosts a Country &Western Dance every Saturday night at the Legion Hall for a $5 donation. Everyone is invited.
The Escambia County School system is searching for children (to age 21) who because of handicap, may be in need of special education and/or related services. Referrals and valuations may begin at 30 months for preschoolers. Also, information regarding services for gifted children and referrals may be made by calling Suzanne Barnett at 296-0633.
