BP robbed; Suspect on loose

A robbery early Wednesday morning at Spudd's BP on Highway 2 is still under investigation by the Escambia County Sheriff's Department.
An undetermined amount of money and blunt cigars were taken from the store.
According to Maj. Mike Murphy, spokesman at the sheriff's office, the suspect or suspects broke a window and made entry at 3:25 a.m. He then stole the change box with an undetermined amount of money and took a number of blunt cigars.
The surveillance tape showed the suspect breaking the window and entering then robbing the store.
The incident was discovered when employees arrived to open for business that morning
Murphy reported that the suspect was wearing a light gray jacket with a hood, possibly a toboggan, and dark-colored BDU pants with shiny black shoes.
No arrests have been made at this time.
"We're still hoping to identify the suspects," Murphy said Friday.
