Thursday marked the first day of baseball practice for the ECHS Blue Devils.
Moving to get a workout in ahead of the stormfront that moved through the county, the JV and varsity practiced together, trying to get the rust out of their fielding skills.
Coach Keith Nall (pictured above) is excited about the upcoming season, saying he believed the team had a very good chance to make the playoffs for a second straight year.
Nall said the team is looking to develop a third pitcher, but the first two should be solid, he said.
The team practiced Thursday with 20 members on the field.
