The Atmore Public Library will be closed Monday and Wednesday for Inventory.
Mar. 9
Parents Listen, Can You Hear Me? and DHR Working For You In the Community. These classes are brought to you by the Baldwin County Board of Education, Parental Specialist-Katrina Duck and Baldwin County Department of Human Resources. This presentation is free to the parents of Perdido School and any community members who would like to attend. Tuesday at 9 a.m. in the Perdido School Cafeteria.

Winnie the Pooh "Isn't it funny how a bear likes honey. Buzz, Buzz, Buzz. Oh, brother!" and "Silly Old Bear" will be presented by the Greater Escambia Council for the Arts at 7 p.m on the 12th and at 2 p.m. on the 13th at the Atmore Lion's Community Center. Tickets are $5 and are available through calling 327-4250, First National Bank, United Bank and from any cast member.

Babe Ruth Girl's Softball signup will be held on March 13, 20 &27 at Elite Sporting Goods from 9am to 12. First time players need to bring birth certificates. Ages eligible to play are 7 to 16.
Prevention and treatment of headaches. Free community workshop at 10 a.m. at Atmore Community Cup. Call 368-8884 for reservations.

Another gathering of Atmore folks who were children of the depression and teenagers of World War II will soon be here. All former students, teachers and friends of that era are invited to attend the annual reunion of the Barnes Boys (and Girls). The event will be held Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at David's Catfish House on South Main Street.
The Nokomis Volunteer Fire Department will hold their monthly board meeting on Saturday from 9 until 10:30 a.m. A work day will follow the meeting and all residents are invited to participate.

The Neighborhood Garden Club cordially invites you to a Welcome Reception in honor of DV Durand Mitchell and associates on Sunday at Gaines Chapel AME Fellowship Hall from 2 to 4 p.m.

Atmore Historical Society will have their regular meeting at 7 p.m. at the Atmore Lions Center.
Pancake Supper at David's Catfish from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Proceeds donated to Relay for Life. Supper includes pancakes, sausage, bacon and a drink. Five dollars a ticket.

Family Fun Day. A day to enjoy your family and friends. In loving memory of Thomas Boatwright and others. On Saturday at 8 a.m.-until. It will take place at Boatwright's "Pasture by the Pond" Nokomis Hwy 31. Please bring you keepsakes and pictures to place on the memorial table to honor our passed loved ones lost to cancer. Donations only. Children's fishing tournament 8-10 a.m. ten years old and under, covered wagon rides, face painting, moon walks, old west show, working saw mill exhibit, live music, dinner plates, memorial motorcycle run, karate demonstrations, car show, quilt show, horseshoes, auction at 1 p.m. and T-shirts for sale $12. Kindergarten Registration for Rachel Patterson Elementary School from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. Child must be five years old on or before September 1. Need to bring a birth certificate, immunization record, and social security card. Please bring your child with you for screening. The Health Department will have a walk-in clinic on April 29th from 8 to 11:30 a.m. in order to assist parents with children's immunization. Call 368-9188 for details.
May 7
Pre-K Registration for Rachel Patterson Elementary School from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. Child must be four years old on or before September 1. Need to bring birth certificate, immunization record, and social security card. The above documents are required at registration in order for you child to be eligible for this program, as we can only accommodate 18 in this class. The drawing will be held the afternoon of registration.
