The Escambia County Health Department at the Atmore office will hold a walk-in immunization clinic on Thursday from 8 to 11 a.m. for those children registering for kindergarten. Shot records are required. For further information, call (251) 368-9188.

Kindergarten Registration for Rachel Patterson Elementary School from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. Child must be five years old on or before September 1. Need to bring a birth certificate, immunization record, and social security card. Please bring your child with you for screening. The Health Department will have a walk-in clinic on April 29th from 8 to 11:30 a.m. in order to assist parents with children's immunization. Call 368-9188 for details.
EvenStart Pre-K Program Registration will begin registration on Friday, April 30, 2004 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon at the EvenStart Building (old SAIL Center building) in Poarch. Child must have birth certificate, social security card, Alabama blue slip (shot records), must be four years old by September 1, 2004 and must live in Escambia County, Ala. The annual family reunion of the descendants of Thomas Jefferson Daniel and Christiana Stabler Daniel will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2004 at the large pavilion of Claude D. Kelley State Park. Please come and bring a picnic lunch and a small item to be used as a door prize. Lunch will be served at 12 noon.
The Greater Escambia Council for the Arts will present a Musical Revue featuring the best of GECA's past productions and featuring upcoming productions including this summers "Oklahoma." Tickets are $3.00 each of $10.00 a family. Available at ECHS the night of the Revue.
The ROTC will hold a yard sale. Anyone wanting to donate items should call the ROTC office and we will pick them up.

The GED test will be administered at Reid State Technical College. A valid picture ID is required for test application and testing. Letters of approval are also required for persons under the age of 18.
The current cost for GED testing is $40.00. Students attending GED classes and receiving approval from the instructor, are allowed to test free of charge. The re-test for writing is $10.00 with all other re-test costs being $8.00 each. If you have taken the test before, please bring copy of test scores. Call 251-578-1313, ext 149 or visit the GED Chief Examiner's office in Bldg. 100 for additional information. The next test dates are June 9 &10.

The above documents are required at registration in order for you child to be eligible for this program, as we can only accommodate 18 in this class. The drawing will be held the afternoon of registration.

"Man to Man" a prostate cancer support and education group will meet in the Education Center at D.W. McMillan Hospital on Tuesday at 12 noon. Please note change in time. Programs will be "Diabetes." Lunch will be provided. Call 809-8309 for further information.

Atmore Historical Society will have their annual meeting at 7 p.m. This meeting will be in the Peany. Webb Building in Heritage Park. New officers for the year 2004-2005 will be elected. New members are welcome to attend.

Perfect Game Softball will be hosting an Identification (Exposure) Camp at Troy State University This one-day event is for softball player's ages 13-18 interested in showcasing their skills in front of Perfect Game Scouts. Results of the assessment will be placed on our official website, as well as sent out to college coaches nation-wide.
