Elouise Dailey
Mrs. Elouise Dailey, 82, of Atmore, died Monday, July 5, 2004, at West Florida Hospital in Pensacola.
Dailey was a native of Frisco City and a resident of Atmore for many years. She was a member of Old Ship Baptist Church in Atmore and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Pinkey Lambert.
She is survived by her husband, Dan Dailey of Atmore; three daughters, Ethel Haynesworth of Boston, Mass., Beverlyn Rufus of Atmore and Sonjia D. Wells of Tuscaloosa; seven sons, James Dailey of Emelle, David Dailey of Brockton, Mass., Earl Dailey, Charles Dailey, Elbert Dailey, W.C. Dailey and Alvin Dailey all of Atmore; one sister, Alma Boggans of Atmore; one brother, James Lambert of Los Angeles, Calif.; 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Mt. Gillead Baptist Church in Freemanville on Saturday,July 10 with Overseer Quillas Mitchell officiating.
Burial took place at Fairview Cemetery.
Turner Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Hertha Snowden
Mrs. Hertha Mae Snowden, 85, of Atmore, died Friday, July 9, 2004, at Atmore Community Hospital.
She was a member of Gaines Chapel A.M.E. and a retired cook.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rafe and Rosanna Johnson; husband, R.L. Snowden and son, Clarence Scott.
She is survived by two sisters, Lottie Johnson of El Paso, Texas and Ola Barnes of Atmore and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Gaines Chapel A.M.E.
Funeral services will be held at Gaines Chapel A.M.E. at 11 a.m. with Rev. A.T. Days officiating.
Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery.

James Helton Sr.
Mr. James Albert Helton Sr., 79, of Atmore, died Sunday, July 11, 2004 in Valley. He was born to the late Edward B. and Cornelia Fore Helton on July 2, 1925.
He was a Deacon of Brooks Memorial Baptist Church, a Member of Pete Heltons Sunday school class, member of V.F.W., owner of John's Cleaners and member of SAIL Center.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Woodruff Helton.
He is survived by one son, James Albert and wife Sheila P. Helton Jr. of Atmore; two granddaughters, Leigh Ann and husband Kenny Coker and Abby Helton all of Atmore and one sister-in-law, Betty Helton of Valley.
Mr. Helton will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service.
Funeral services will be held at Brooks Memorial Baptist Church at 11 a.m., Wednesday, with Bro. Mike Grindle officiating.
Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers will be Alan Sharpless, Donald Purvis, Billy Farr, Gary Hare, James Bell and Dwane Glick.

Oma Stacey
Oma Mae Stacey, 79, of Canoe, died Monday, July 12, 2004.
She was a member of Canoe First Baptist Church and was an office clerk in the medical field.
She is survived by a niece, Bonnie Cummings of Canoe and numerous other nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends may call from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., Wednesday.
Funeral services will be held at Atmore Memorial Chapel Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, with Rev. Jesse Woods officiating.

Peter Parsons Jr.
Peter Steven "Pete" Parsons Jr., 53, of McCormick, S.C., died Saturday, July 10, 2004 at Self Regional Medical Center. He was born to the late Peter S. Sr. and Perline Green Parsons on September 23, 1950 in Atmore.
He was owner-operator of Pete Parsons Grocery.
He is survived by a son, Steven Mark Parsons of McCormick.; two daughters, Christine P. Young of Troy and Doris Parsons of McCormick.; two sisters, Susan P. Smith of Atmore and Voncille P. Brooks of Frisco City and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Blyth Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, with Rev. George Boyd officiating.
Burial took place at Troy Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Sammy Davis, Gary Gable, Willie Durant, Larry Davis, Kenny Hendrick, Ronnie Padgett and Roger Dorn.

Rollie Frye
Rollie Mae Frye, 92, of Atmore, died Monday, July 12, 2004.

Willie Lee
Willie Neal Lee, 74, of Atmore, died Wednesday, July 7, 2004, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola. She was born to the late Andrew and Lela Johnson on November 8, 1929.
She was a member of The Emmanuel Faith Center where she served as the Mother of the church and was once employed at Flower Wood Nursery of Baldwin County.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Lee; two brothers, Andrew and Warnell Johnson; one sister, Melvin Lee; sisters-in-law, Mammie and Odessa and brothers-in-law, George, Lewis C., Wilton, Jimmy Lee, Jessie White, Sam Robinson, Ervin and George McMillian.
She is survived by seven children, Bernstine and husband Charles Bryant, Glenda Bryant, George Kemp Jr., all of Miami, Lewis and wife Earnstine Lee of Pensacola, Samuel Lee Jr., Diane Lee, Larry and wife Cordia Lee and Marlon and wife Thersa Lee all of Atmore; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; brothers, Narvie, Walter and wife Johnnie Mae Johnson both of Rock Island, Ill., Ledell and wife Gloria Johnson of Atmore; sisters, Lillian Charles of Chicago, Delois and husband Cecil Cardwell, Eunice and husband Clyde Bolling, both of Pensacola and Margo and husband Chester Lyons of Atmore; sisters-in-law, Novella, Maybell Robinson, Dorothy Lee, Odessa Lee, Dorothy McMillian, Lula and husband Leroy Knight all of Atmore, Voncille Lee of Clearwater, Fla. and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m.today at Robinson and Christian Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 15, with Elder Wayne Johnson officiating.
Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery.

Willie Peavy
Willie Arthur "Bill" Peavy, 97, died Monday, July 12, 2004. He was born on March 7, 1907.
Peavy was a native of Uriah and a resident of Bay Minette. He attended the Horse Neck Fork Holiness Church, he was retired from ADDSCO and was a carpenter.
He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Pelma McDonald Peavy; a granddaughter, Misty Franklin and a great-grandson, Kory Brooks.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes Peavy of Bay Minette; three sons, John A. and wife Diane Peavy, Al and wife Diann Peavy and Billy Don and wife Joni Peavy all of Bay Minette; four daughters, Eloise Weaver, Bonnie and husband Ralph Green, Ann Bradford and Lois and husband Ricky Franklin all of Bay Minette; one brother, Roland Peavy of Bay Minette; one sister, Emma Weaver of Booneville; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and three care givers, Martha Cartier, Kay Taylor and Dot Hadley.
Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church at 11 a.m., Wednesday, with Dr. Henry Cox and Reverend Joe Billy Roberson officiating. Burial will take place at Bay Minette Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Cleav Peavy, Bill Bradford, Kenny Brooks, Keith Brooks, Brandan Franklin, Jamie Weaver, Kaston Peavy and Cody Peavy. Honorary pallbearers will be Taylor "Red" Wilkins and Doug Hicks.
Although the family will accept flowers, donations may be made in memory of W.A. Peavy to Infirmary Hospice Care, 2559 Emogene Street, Mobile, Al 36606.
