Obituaries for July 18, 2004 edition of the Atmore Advance
Herman Graham
Mr. Herman Graham, 77, of Walnut Hill died on Wednesday, May 19, 2004 at his residence. He was born in Davisville on March 8, 1927 to the late Fred and Harriett Dockens Graham. He served his country in the U.S. Army and served his community as a Farmer. He was a dedicated member of the New Life Fellowship Assembly of God Church in Walnut Hill. He is preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by five sisters, Miss Luverne Graham, Mary Mitchell, Gladys Bartley, Juinta Poulsen all of Walnut Hill, Agnes Adams of Ft. Pierce; brother, Otis Graham of Cantonment; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.
Services were held Saturday, May 22, 2004 at 2 p.m. from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Todd Bush officiating. Interment followed in Walnut Hill Baptist Cemetery. Active Pallbearers, Cobly Howard, Bud Mitchell, Pete Bartley, Ronnie Rose, Jerry Poulsen, and Jerry Graham. Honorary pallbearers were, Jack Mitchell, Johnny Rolin, Anthony Lamb, Mervin Gibson, Buddy Graham, Robert "Bo" Bartley.

Kerry Hicks
Mr. Kerry Hicks, 37, of Century, died Wednesday, July 14, 2004 in Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola.
He was a native of Flomaton and a resident of Century for many years, a 1984 graduate of Century High School and was employed by Outward Bound, a camp for troubled young males. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Irma Hicks; his grandfather, Sam Hicks; his grandparents, Earlie and Esther Stallworth, and his brother, Michael Hicks.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry Hicks of Century; a daughter, Brittany Hicks of Century; a son, Trevor Hubbard of Century; five sisters, Ariel Watts of Seattle, Wash.; Janice Moore and husband Robert, Gloria Castleman, Carolyn Moore, Melissa Dixon and husband Leonard, all of Century; one brother, Kenneth Hicks of Century, and his grandmother, Gladys Hicks of Century.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 18 at Turner Funeral Chapel. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 19, at Pilgrim Lodge Baptist Church in Century with Rev. Leonard Watson, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Century Cemetery. Pallbearers will be friends and family members.

Mrs. Rollie Mae Robinson-Frye, 91, of Atmore, died July 12, 2004. She was born Aug. 13, 1912 in Perdue Hill, to Lee and Ida Robinson.
Mrs. Robinson-Fry and her husband, the late John Eddie Frye, lived in Mobile for several years before moving to Atmore in 1950. Mrs. Johnson-Frye was a member of Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John E. Frye; one son, Bennie L. Frye; a daughter Narvell F. Parker; siblings J.C. Lindsey, Clint Robinson, L.T. Robinson, Oscar Robinson, Willie M. Robinson-McGlasker, Inell Robinson-Bradley, Rose Robinson-Rabb, Otto Robinson, and Rev. N.L. Robinson.
She is survived by a son, Bobby E. (Ida Mary) Frye of Atmore; a sister, Alice Robinson-Salter of Atmore; a brother, John (Ella) Robinson of Fairhope; a sister-in-law Louis Parker Sr.; a daughter-in-law Ida Lee Frye; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers were her grandsons and nephews. Honorary pallbearers were her sons and grandsons.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church in Atmore with Rev. Willie Hawthorne presiding.
Burial followed in Stallworth Cemetery.

Tony Faircloth
Mr. Tony Faircloth, 74, of Walnut Hill, Fla. died Monday, July 12, 2004, at a Pensacola hospital.
Mr. Faircloth was a native of Bratt, Fla. and spent most of his life in Walnut Hill, Fla. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local LU 676 of Pensacola, and attended the Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Tommy Chancey, and a brother, Thomas G. Faircloth.
Surviving are, two sons, Kevin Troy and wife Kathleen Faircloth and J. Wayne and wife Denise Faircloth, all of Walnut Hill; two daughters, Glenda Chancey of Atmore and Linda and husband Jim Sermons of Mobile; and eight grandchildren, Alisha Faircloth, Daniel Faircloth, Amanda Chancey, Michelle Schnider, Tiffany Schnider, Erica Schnider, Victoria Sermons and Cameron Schnider.
Funeral services were held Friday at 4 p.m. at Eastside Funeral Chapel with Bro. Carlos Koehn officiating. Burial followed at Godwin Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Gary Bryan, Larry Talmadge, Bryan Talmadge, Jimmy Mason, Gilbert McGhee and Royce Pierce.

Jessie J. Ward
Mrs. Jessie J. Ward, 95, of Walnut Hill, died Tuesday, June 13, 2004 in Atmore.
She was born in Canoe on February 10, 1909 to the late Daniel B. and Willie B. Drew Corley. She was a retired post mistress. She was preceded in death by her husband, Verlee R. Ward, and a daughter, Bobbie June Godwin.
She is survived by one son, Clark H. "Jack" Ward and wife Betty of Walnut Hill; one brother, Bill Corley of Walnut Hill; one sister, Evelyn Duff of Pensacola; six grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends.
Services were held Friday, July16, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Boyd officiating. Burial followed at Walnut Hill Baptist Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Jason Ward, Lamar Godwin, Doug Godwin, Dougie Godwin, Heath Harrison and Robert "Bo" Bartley.

Mr. George Ries, 73, of Atmore, died Wednesday, July 14, 2004 at his residence.
