A Blood Drive will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. at Lottie Baptist Church.
August 16
The local cancer support group will host Anniece Barnhill, area director of the American Cancer Society, at First Assembly of God Church. Everyone is invited.
AC Moore Elementary School will have an Open House at 7 p.m.
August 17
Escambia County High School Booster's Club will have a membership drive at David's Catfish. The event will be at 7 p.m. allowing, the public to come out and meet all the ECHS coaches.
The Northview High School Booster Club meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. in teh weight room. All members and prospective members are invited to attend.
August 18
Reid State Childcare Classes tobe offered at the YMCA building upstairs from 5:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. Please call (251) 578-1313 for a Fall 2004 Registration Packet, testing or further information for college entrance.

Bosom Buddies Breast Cancer Support Group will have its monthly luncheon at noon in the Education Center at DW McMillan Hospital. Bring a salad to share. Call 809-8309 for info.
August 21
Registration for Tri-county League Pee wee Football will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at City Hall.
The Mennonite Chistian Fellowship youth group will hold an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 8 to 10a.m. at the church to raise funds for their 2005 mission trip.
The Gohagen Family Clan will host a reunion at the Byrneville Community Center. Doors open at 9:00 a.m. Bring a covered dish and join family and friends for lunch and fellowship. For additional information contact L. A. Gohagan @ 368-1744.
Escambia County Cattleman's Association educational meeting for cattle producers will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Escambia County Stockyard on Hwy 31 in South Brewton.
August 24

Northview High School will hold the annual Open House at 7 p.m. After a short program in the student's home room, parents and visitors may visit the campus and classrooms.

The Escambia County (Al) Historical Society will meet at 3 p.m. in the lobby of the Patterson Auditorium at the JDCC Brewton campus, instead of the museum. This will be the annual "Show and Tell" Program and members and guests are encouraged to bring items of historical interest about Escambia County. The public is invited to attend.
August 26
Congressman Joe Bonner will be holding town meetings in Canoe and Uriah. Bonner will be in Uriah Thursday, August 26 at the Country Kitchen from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and he will then be at the Canoe Civic Club from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Sept. 4
The Walker-Kirby reunion will be held at the Byrneville Community Center on September 04. Doors open at 9:00 a.m. Bring a covered dish and enjoy lunch and fellowship with family and friends. Contact L. A. Gohagan @ 368-1744 for more information.
