Woodrow Jerrell Riley
Mr. Woodrow Jerrell Riley, 15, died Thursday, Aug. 26, 2004 at his residence. He was a native and resident of Atmore. He was a ninth grader at Escambia County High School and played football with ECHS. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Woodrow Curry and Rosie Mae Curry.
He is survived by his mother, Thelma L. Riley of Atmore; his father, Woodrow W. Curry of Atmore; five brothers, Jeramain Riley, Kenny Curry, Steven Curry and Jonathan Curry, all of Atmore, and Fredrick Curry of Philadelphia, Penn.; four sisters, Asteria Riley, Lakeshia Finlay, Marsha Curry and Seketha Dailey, all of Atmore and his grandparents, O.Z. and Earnestine Riley of Atmore. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Sept. 1, from 1 to 8:30 p.m. at Turner Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 2, at 4 p.m. at Faith Tabernacle Holiness Church in Freemanville with Dr. Blanche Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Shiloh Cemetery in Nokomis Turner Funeral Chapel, in charge of all arrangements.
Rosie Ries
Ms. Rosie Ries died Tuesday, August 31, 2004 at the age of 93 at Atmore Community Hospital.
Robinson-Christian Memorial Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
Sammy Howard
Mr. Sammy Howard died Sunday, August 22, 2004 at the age of 64.
He was born in Camden, AL, on March 9, 1940 to the late Ambus and Annie L. Howard. He is preceded in death by six sisters and four brothers.
Survivors include two Brothers: Calvin Howard and David Howard both of Atmore; one special Niece, Elizabeth Williams of Atmore; and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.
Funeral Services were held Saturday, August 28, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at the Lighthouse Apostolic Holiness Church with Bishop Robert Grissett, Sr. officiating.
Burial followed at Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Nephews and Flowerbearers friends.

Eugene R. Ross
Mr. Eugene R. Ross died Thursday, August 26, 2004 at the age of 71 in Pensacola.
He was retired as a U.S.M.C Gunnery Sergeant and was born in Pensacola, FL on November 30, 1932 to the late Egbert and Ann Cloud Ross.
Survivors include his Wife: Marilyn Ross of Atmore; two Sons, Berry Lynn Ross and wife Mellissa of Walnut Hill and Steven Ross and wife Regina of Atmore; one Daughter, Tamara Lynn Ross of Daytona, FL.; one Brother, David Best of Pensacola; three Sisters, Margaret Sugg of Highland, NY., Carole Francis of Canandaigua, NY. and Patricia Darrow of Brighton NY.; Mother-in-Law, Hattie Lou Morris of Atmore; and three Grandchildren, Alexia Stevie Ross, Troy Lynn Ross and Elliot Gene Ross.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday, August 31, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Father Jan officiating.
Family received friends Monday evening, August 30, 2004 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 6PM to 9PM.

Lloyd Glenn Joiner
Mr. Lloyd Glenn Joiner died Wednesday, August 25, 2004 at the age of 68 at a Mobile hospital.
He was a native of Stockton, AL., and a resident of Mobile for the past 28 years where he attended the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his Aunt and Uncle: Wilson and Ruth Sims of Rabun; two Brothers, William Joiner of Fort Mill, SC., and Kenneth Joiner of Wiggins, MS.; two Sisters, Olivia McKinley of Fort Mill, SC., and Viola Phillips of Newton Falls, OH.
Funeral Services were held Monday, August 30, 2004 at 4:00 P.M. at the New Providence Baptist Church with Rev. Henry Wilson officiating.
Burial followed at New Providence Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ricky Pfeffer, Marcus Dean, Alonzo Sims, Lonnie Sims, Ancil Sims and Tommy Richardson.
Visitation was held Monday, August 30, 2004 at New Providence Baptist Church from 3PM to 4PM.

Bonnie Faye Rolin
Mrs. Bonnie Faye Rolin died Saturday, August 28, 2004 at the age of 61 in Poarch.
She was a native and lifetime resident of Poarch.
Survivors include her Husband: Hubert Rolin of Poarch; four Sons, Hubert Rolin Jr. of Poarch, Brian Keith Rolin of Theodore, Timothy Wayne Rolin of Whatley and Michael Cleveland Rolin of Poarch; two Daughters, Sonya Howard of Poarch and Taffy Lynn Lassitter of Booneville; four Brothers, Arthur Samuel Rayborn of Bay Minette, Julius Rayborn of Poarch, Jimmy Rayborn of Coffeeville and Hubert Rayborn of Bay Minette; two Sisters, Melvis Roberts and Bobbie Pearson, both of Poarch; and 11 Grandchildren. Funeral Services were held Tuesday, August 31, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. at the Friendly Holiness Church with Rev. Joe Welch and Rev. Ray Ward officiating.
Burial followed at Sardis Baptist Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Johnny ray Steadham, Walter Rolin, Kenneth Rolin, Shawn Rolin, Kevin Andrews and Charlie McDuffy.
Honorary Pallbearers were Anthony Rolin, Timmy Bailey, Larry Bailey, Brian Couch and Roy Rolin.
Visitation was held Monday, August 30, 2004 at the Friendly Holiness Church from 6PM to 9PM.

Carlton Jefferson Martin
Mr. Carlton Jefferson Martin died Thursday, August 26, 2004 in Orange Beach.
He was retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation and was born in Milton, FL on June 11, 1929 to the late Nealey Jefferson and Nettie Luvada Sanders Martin.
Survivors include one Son: Guy N. Martin, Sr. and wife, Kimberly of Tuscaloosa; two Daughters, Beverly Martin Morley and husband Micheal of Atlanta, GA. and Karen Luvada Martin of Katy, TX.; three Sisters, Grace Hovell of Pensacola, and Edna Barrentine and Gladys Middleton, both of Atmore; five Grandchildren, Guy N. Martin, Jr., Jason Morley, Brittany F. Martin, Jennifer Morley, and Mary Kathryn Hewett. Funeral Services were held Monday, August 30, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Grindle officiating.
Burial followed in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Haskew Middleton, Bobby Middleton, Richard Fulmer, Guy N. Martin, Jr., Jason Morley and Danny Woodham.

John H. Hollinger
Mr. John H. Hollinger died Wednesday, August 25, 2004 at the age of 86 in Tuskegee Veterans Hospital.
He was both a native and resident of Atmore for many years who worked as a construction laborer and served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include three Daughters: Penny Wall, Cheryl Wall and Doretha Hackett, all of Boston, MA; two Sons, Robert Wall and John Arthur McKinney, both of Boston, MA; five Grandchildren; and one Great-Grandchild.
Funeral Services were held Saturday, August 28, 2004 at 4:00 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Chapel of Remembrance with Bro. Freddie Banks officiating.
Burial followed in the Stallworth Cemetery.
Visitation was held Saturday, August 28, 2004 at Turner Funeral Chapel of Remembrance from 2PM to 4PM.

Ronald Gray
Mr. Ronald Gray died Monday, August 23, 2004 at the age of 42 at Health Central Hospital in Occee, FL. He was a native of Atmore, AL and a resident of Winter Garden, FL for many years. He was a member of the Army National Guard for many years. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Allen and Bernice Gray. He is survived by his mother Barbara Delores Gray of Uniondale, NY; one sister Sandra Gray of Birmingham, Al; and two brothers Bobby A. Gray of Uniondale, NY and Charlie Gray of Pensacola, FL. Funeral services were Saturday, August 28, 2004 at 1:00p.m. at Jones Street Holiness Church in Atmore, AL. Pastor Terry Smith officiating. Burial at Lucious Cemetery in Atmore, AL.
