Roy Ladon Griffey
Mr. Roy Ladon "DonnieGriffey" age, 56 of Atmore, died on Saturday, September 11, 2004 in a Pensacola Hospital. Mr. Griffey was self employed at G &G Convenience Store. Survivors include his wife; Natasha Lynn Griffey, his Mother, Imagene Sempson Griffey, Two daughters; Leigh Ann and husband Scott "Gypsy"Mathews of Florida, Karrie Nichole "Nickie"Griffey of Atmore, Mother In-Law; Katie Dickens, Father In-Law; Gordon McGhee of Atmore. Sister In-Law Monica and husband Chad Johnson of Mobile. Three Sisters; Betty Jean and Husband Ellison Hood of Texas, JoAnne and Husband Steve Durbin of Atmore. Pamela and Husband Jerry Brantley of Atmore. Three Brothers; Rodger and Wife Georgia Griffey of Atmore. Tedy Wayne and Wife Mona of Mobile. Johnny Dale Griffey of Mobile. Funeral Services will be hold Wednesday September 15, 2004 at 10.00 a.m. from Atmore Memorial Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Dukes and Rev. Otis Thames officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening September 14, 2004 at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Active Pall Bearers will be Gordon Faye, Wayne Hicks, Scott Mathews, Clayton Hall, David Sells, Kevin Faircloth. Honorary Pall Bearers will be Todd Harris, Mark Harris, Terry Harris, Jason Griffey, Scott Griffey, Jeromy Griffey, Earl Dailey.

Barbara Lamar Muse Oyer
Mrs. Barbara Lamar Muse Oyer, age 77 of Atmore died Sunday,
September 12, 2004, in Atmore. She was a Homemaker, born in Detroit, Michigan on August 12, 1925 to the late Harry L. and Cecilia Walsh Muse. She has been a resident of Atmore since 1975, Founding Member of Arts Council, Life Long Supporter of the Arts in Atmore Community. She is preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Russell Oyer and One Brother, Harry L. Muse. Survivors are: One Son, R. Scott Oyer of Alabaster. One Daughter, and Son-In-Law; Patricia L. Castleberry and husband, Keith of Atmore. Sister-In-Law, Margie R. Muse of Sag Harbor N.Y. Two Nephews: Thomas Muse and John Muse, One Niece, Linda Muse, all of Sag Harbor N.Y. Five Grandchildren: Christopher Scott Oyer, Mellissa Muse Oyer and Mark Gerald Oyer all of Alabaster. Kerrianne Courtney Castleberry and Erin Kaylie Castleberry both of Atmore. One Great-Grandchild, Braydon Oyer, Numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Services will be Tuesday September 14, 2004, at 11AM from the Johnson- Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Doug Newton officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 10AM until service time.

Jerry Desmond Dean
Mr. Jerry Desmond Dean, 59, passed away Friday, September 10, 2004 at a Pensacola hospital.
Mr. Dean was a native of Red Level and a resident of Century for over 40 years. He was a devoted Father and Grandfather, attended the Faith Bible Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Dean. Survivors include: his Son, Steven and Halee Dean of Milton, Fl; Two Brothers, Bobby Dean of Carolina and Terry Dean of Jackson, MS; six Sisters, Katrina, Elmira Voss, Mary Elizabeth Richards, Lywanna Rose Phillips, Faye Knox and Willie Mae Waggle; and four Grandchildren, Breonna Joy, Bamah Nicole, Tyler Jeren and Titus Daran. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at 4100 P.M. at the Faith Bible Baptist Church with Brother Steven Dean, Brother Robert Barrow and Bro. Michael Wiggins officiating.
Burial will follow at Beulah chapel Cemetery with Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 13, 2004 between 6:00 and 9:00 P.M. at the Faith Bible Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Brother Gene Stokes, Eddie Dunsford, Randy Murph, Darin Barrow, Chris Barrow and Brian Knox. Honorary pallbearers will be Doug Knox.
Eastside Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
