Surman Frank Dean
Mr. Surman Frank Dean, age 92 of Tullahoma, TN. died Thursday
October 7,2004 at his residence. He was retired from Roane Electric
Co. near Rockwood, TN., born July 31,1912 In Lottie, AL to the late
David E. and Willie Jones Dean, Sr.
He was a US Army Veteran of WWII.
Preceded In death by Two Brothers, Herbert Dean and Claude Dean. One Sister, Ruby Hayles.
Survivors are his wife, Ola Guetter Dean, and One Daughter, Gail Darden and husband, Jerry all of Tullahoma, TN. Two Brothers: David E. Dean, Jr. and Albert Dean both of Atmore. One Sister, Myrtle Shiver of Atmore. Two Grandchildren: Robin and Renae Darden both of Tullahoma, TN.
Graveside services will be Sunday, October 10,2004 at 2p.m. In
Lottie New Home Cemetery, Lottie, AL. Family will receive friends Saturday
evening October 9,2004 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from
6:30p.m. to 8p.m.

Willis Dee Brooks
Mr. Willis Dee Brooks, age 63 of Atmore died Sunday, October 3,2004 in Pensacola. He was a Logging Operator, born in Baldwin County on February 5,1941 to the late M.L. and Daphne Hinson Brooks.
Survivors: His wife, Sara Brooks Two Sons: Johnny Brooks, Willie Lee Brooks and wife, Lisa all of Atmore. Two brothers Turner Brooks of Atmore. Jimmy Brooks of Perdido. Two Sisters: Dorothy Willis of McDavid. and Estelle McDonald of Whitehouse Fork, AL.
Services Will be Thursday October 7,2004 at 2p.m. from the Johnson-
Quimby funeral Home Chapel with Sis. Helen Stewart and Bro. J.T. Guyton officiating.
Interment will follow in Brooks Cemetery, Perdido. Family will receive
Friends Wednesday evening October 6,2004 at Johnson-Quimby
Funeral Home from 6:00p.m to 8:00p.m.

John-Graham Quinley
Mr. John-Graham Quinley, age 18, of Atmore died on Monday, October 4, 2004. Mr. Quinley worked at Ward Farms and attended the Goodway Baptist Church.
Survivors include His Parents, Mr. &Mrs. Larry Ward of Atmore and Mr. &Mrs. William G. Quinley of Fairhope. Grandparents, Mr. &Mrs. John Maxwell Wood of Fairhope and Mr. &Mrs. C.N. Quinley of Jackson. 2 Brothers: William Wood Quinley of Troy and stepbrother, Thomas Bradley Ward of Huxford. 2 Sisters: Alice Katherine Quinley of Mobile, Nina Michelle Quinley of Fairhope, 2 Step Sisters: Kay Miller of Fairhope, Jennifer Elizabeth Ward Donaldson of Canton, Ga. Uncles &Aunts Mr. &Mrs. Mark Wood of Fairhope and Mr. &Mrs. Joel G. Rains of Gracen, Ga.
Funeral Services were held Thursday, October 7, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. from Atmore Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. DeWayne McMillian and Dr. Charles Graham officiating.
Burial will follow at the Enon Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends at Atmore Memorial Chapel Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 6, 2004 from 6to 8 pm Pall bearers will be Thomas Bradley Ward, Micheal Donaldson, Mark Wood, Zackery Moore, Byrd Lee Moore, Joel Raines. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ryne Davison, Andrew Badd.

Merlene Morris
Mrs. Merlene Morris, age 77, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2004 in Monroeville
Mrs. Morris was a native of Walnut Hill a former resident of Frisco City and a resident of Monroe Manor for the past 3 years – She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and great-grandmother and loved to cook. She visited with her fellow residents, tried to help others and was known for her generosity and being a very caring person. She attended the Protestant church. She was proceeded in death by a Son, Douglas Blackwell and a Daughter, Deborah Marlene Griffin.
Survivors include a Son, Mr. David Blackwell of Houston, TX two Daughters Frances Brantley Browning and Sandra Kay Hancock, both of Monroeville, 12 Grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 9, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the
Eastside Chapel Funeral with Bro. Glenn Byron officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Visitation was held Friday, October 8, 2004 between 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Timothy Daw, Rodney Howell, Glenn Griffin, Anthony Stamper, James Blackwell and Billy Brantley.
Eastside Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Lily Inez Kyser Riley
Lily Inez Kyser Riley, age 83, died Sunday, October 3,2004 at Grayson, Georgia. She was a native of Owaassa, AL and a resident of Atlanta for many years. She is formerly from Atmore. She was formerly a member of Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church. After relocating to Atlanta and united with Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Atlanta.
She was preceded in death by her husband Earnest Riley, her parents Less and Gussie Hawthore and a son Willie George Kyser.
She is survived by two sons Freddie Kyser of Detroit, Michigan and John Lewis Kyser of Atlanta, Georgia. Five Daughters Ida Coe of Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Mary Kyser of Longville, Georgia. Myrlene McCaster, of Montgomery, Barbara Kyser-Cook of Lawrenceville, Georgia, and Rosa N. Riley-Tucker of Grayson, Georgia. Nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday, October 9, 2004 at 1:00p.m. at Greater Mt. Triumph Church with Dr. Richard B. Hayes officiating.
Burial followed at Stallworth Cemetery.
Visitation was Friday, October 8, 2004 from 1:00p.m. to 8:30p.m. at Turner Funeral Chapel.
Turner Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Essie Lee Tucker
Mrs. Essie Lee Tucker, age 86, died Wednesday, October 6, 2004 in Atmore Community Hospital. She was a native of Evergreen and a resident of Atmore for many years. She was a member of Bright Star Baptist Church in Frisco City. She was a Housewife.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Robert Lee McKee and Lola Riley and her husband Oscar Tucker, Jr.
She is survived by three sons Willie Earl Tucker of Monroeville, Oscar Tucker, Jr. of Tucson, AZ and Tiny Tucker of San Diego, CA. Three daughters Alice K Arnold of Greenville, SC, Shirley Diane Jackson of Pensacola and Carletta Boykin of Atmore. A host of grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and twelve great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday, October 9, 2004 at 3:30p.m. at Bright Morning Star Baptist Church in Frisco City. With Rev. Floyd Dailey officiating.
Burial followed at Bright Morning Star Cemetery.
Visitation was Friday, October 8, 2004 from 1:00p.m. to 8:30p.m. at Turner Funeral Chapel.
Turner Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
