Laura Odom
Laura Odom of Flomaton died Friday, Dec. 3, 2004 at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola. Services to be announced by the Turner Funeral Chapel.

Flora Wiggins
Flora Wiggins, age 55, of Atmore died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004 at Atmore Community Hospital. Services to be announced by the Turner Funeral Chapel.

Ruby Lee Fleeton
Ruby Lee Fleeton, age 86, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004 at her residence. She was a native of Middleway, AL and a resident of Century, Fla. for many years. She worked as a housekeeper for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Fleeton, two sons Marshall Fleeton and Thomas Fleeton, Jr., two sisters Mandy Brown and Rosie Bell Brown, five brothers Joe, Sap, James, Wallace, and Moses Brown.
She is survived by six daughters Gorgia Sanders and Meral Rivera both of Coca, Fla. Ruby Lowe of Pomona, CA, Bettie Griggs, Olivia Fleeton, Debbie Fleeton all of Century, three sons Eugene and wife Margaret Brown of Panama City, Willie Fleeton of Asberry Park, NJ, one brother Ester Brown and James Fleeton both of Century, Fla. Forty-seven grandchildren and thirty-one great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday, Dec. 4th, 2004 at 2:00p.m. at Pilgrim Lodge Baptist Church in Century, Fla. with Rev. Lenard Waston, Jr. officiating. Burial to follow at Century Cemetery in Century, Fla. Pallbearers are friends and family members.
Viewing and visitation was be Friday, Dec. 3, 2004 from 1:00p.m. to 8:30p.m. at Turner Funeral Chapel. Her body will lie instate at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.

Dorothy Lean Hudson
Funeral service for Dorothy Lean Hudson will be held on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004 at 2:00p.m. at the Mt.Gillead Baptist Church with rev. Alfonzia Williams officiating. Interments will be in the Fairview Cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel announcing.

James Roosevelt Hartley
Mr. James Roosevelt Hartley was received into Heaven our Savior Jesus Christ, Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004. He was born on December 3, 1950 to Mr. R. Co Hartley and Mrs. Jennie B. Hartley who preceded him in death. Late Ms. Audrey Hartley, Mr. Jimmy Hartley and Robert Hartley also preceded him in death.
James leaves to cherish his memories a beloved and devoted family; a precious daughter, Audrey Hartley of Syracuse, New York, six sisters, Mrs. Adelle (James) Edwards of Savannah, Georgia, Ms. Minnie Hartley of Syracuse, New York, Mrs. Faye (Norman) Nero, Ms. Barbara Hartley, and Letha Hartley all of Atmore Alabama, Priscilla (Theodus) Garror of Mobile, Alabama; one granddaughter, Brandi Hartley and one grandson, Carl Hartley of Syracuse, New York; two aunts, Maycee Rostchild of Mobile and Emma Barnes of Stapleton; one uncle, Wilmer Barnes of Niger Falls, New York; three nieces, Sheila and Michelle Bailey, Renee Hartley; seven nephews, Robert Hartley, Carlos Beasley, Michael Hartley, Norman Nero, Jr., Schuyler Nero, Cornelius Garror and Theodus Garror; two special friends, Linda Tucker and Brenda Barron (kids); one special cousin, Carrie Williams.
Services were held Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004 at 1 pm at Gaines Chapel AME in Atmore, with Bishop Willie L. Williams, Pastor of Jones Street Holiness Church presiding. Interment followed at Stallworth Cemetery. Friends were the pallbearers and Flower bearers.
Final Arrangements were entrusted to Robinson Funeral Home, Atmore Alabama.
William Edmond Findley
Mr. William Edmond Findley, age 87 of Canoe, AL, died of a short illness Wednesday December 1, 2004 in Bay Minette, AL. He was a retired butcher, born in Canoe, AL on October 3, 1917 to the late Daniel Richard and Sudie Lee Wearren Findley.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie "B" Carter Findley and a grandson, Michael Findley. He is survived by two sons: Teddy DeWitt Findley and wife, Cathleen of Canoe, AL, James Richard Findley and wife, Debi of Choctaw, Ok. Four daughters: Brenda Pisarkiewicz and husband, John of McLean, VA, Gail Cohen and husband, Joel of Cantonment, Fl, Susan Maynard and husband, Shaun of Vienna, VA, Debbie Hanel of Altavista, Va., two sisters; Leona Hammons of Pensacola, Fl., Ruth Kearley of Canoe, Al, ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday December 4, 2004 at 2 pm from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Canoe Freewill Cemetery, Canoe, Al. Active Pallbearers will be grandsons: Teddy Findley, Jr. Derek Hanel, David Carter, Buddy Findley, Ronn Stewart, Scott Maynard.
Family will receive friends, Friday evening Dec. 3, 2004 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 6 pm to 8 pm.

Thomas "Red" Overstreet
Mr. Thomas A. "Red" Overstreet, age 52 of Pensacola, Fl., died Monday November29, 2004 in Pensacola, Fl. He worked in the construction field as a young man he was an avid pool shooter. He was born in Brewton, Al to the late M.W. and Rosa Godwin Overstreet.
Survivors include three brothers, Robert Joe Overstreet of Atmore, Al., Jerry Overstreet of Northport, Al., Mary E. Overstreet of Alexandria, VA, and Diane Board of Creola, Al. Services will be Friday December 3, 2004 at 2 pm from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Fred Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Joey Overstreet, Kenny Jordan, Wendal Powell, Stevie Morris, Steven Morris and Thomas Ellis.
Family will receive friends, Thursday evening Dec. 2, 2004 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 6 pm to 8 pm.

Frances L. Crutchfield
Mrs. Frances L. Crutchfield, 71, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004 at a Pensacola hospital. Mrs. Crutchfield was a native of Nokomis, FL and a resident of Atmore for the past 50 years. She attended the Protestant Church. Survivors include her husband, Leslie Crutchfield of Atmore; her son, Larry and Pennie Crutchfield of Warner Robbins, GA; her daughter, Melanie and George Crocker of Riviera, TX; two brothers, Leo and Shirley Odom of Atmore and Rual and Jackie Odom, Jr. of Lakeland, FL; three sisters, Charlotte and Billy Williams of Walnut Hill, Voncille Shipp of Canoe and Opal and Joel Smith of Wawbeek; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, Dec. 3 2004 a t10 am at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Earl Harrison officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 2, 2004 between 6 and 8 pm at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Jason Donaldson, Kenneth Odom, Tony Odom, Ricky Morgan, Billy Williams, and Gary Bouler.

Billy Joe Smith
Mr. Billy Joe Smith 73, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004 at a local hospital.
Mr. Smith was a native of Nokomis, FL a former resident of Davisville, FL and a resident of Atmore for the past 20 years. He was a Veteran of WWII, attended the Atmore Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was preceded in death by a son, Billy Dewayne Smith.
Survivors include a brother, Jimmy Smith of San Leon, TX, two sisters, Bobbi Barlow of Sheppard, TX, and Wanda LaVia of Fitzgerald, GA; two grandsons, 20 nieces and nephews; and 35 great nieces and great nephews.
Graveside services will be held Thursday Dec. 2, 2004 at 10 am at Canoe Freewill Cemetery with Bro. Bill Beach officiating.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, De. 1, 2004 between 5:30 and 9 pm at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Bessie R. White
Mrs. Bessie R. White, 85, of Atmore died in Brewton, Nov. 30, 2004.
Mrs. White lived in Atmore for many years. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Atmore. Mrs. White was a homemaker, and her parents were Frank and Fronia Long Roberts. She is also preceded in death by her husband, John M. White, son Benny R. White and son in law, Freddie Triplett.
Survivors include, son, Clifford White of Canoe, three daughters; Mabeth W. Styron of Range, AL, Alice Triplett of Purvis Miss., and Mary Barber of May Minette; two sisters, Janie Kidd of Baton Rouge, La., and Myrtle Wardell of Bay Minette; 16 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday Dec. 3 2004 at Atmore Memorial Chapel at 10 am with sister Thursia Long officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday Dec. 2, 2004 from 6pm to 8 pm at the Funeral Home. Active Pallbearers will be grandchildren.
