The Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for the 2004 Citizen of the Year Award and the Lifetime Achievement Award.
This Citizen of the Year Award is presented annually to an individual for an outstanding achievement or contribution to the community during the previous year. It is presented at the Chamber's annual banquet which this year will be held on the evening of January 27 at the Atmore Lions Community Center. The Lifetime Achievement Award honors an individual who has contributed to the community over a lifetime and is not necessarily presented each year.
Nominations for both awards should be mailed or delivered to the Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce at 501 South Pensacola Avenue. The deadline for nominations is 4:00 P.M., Friday, January 14th. Tickets for the banquet are $20 for members and $24 for non-members.
