Police: Keep vehicles locked

A city-wide string of car break-ins has officials urging people to keep their valuables out of sight.
"Since early January we have had several car break-ins," Police Chief Jason Dean said. "Most of them have involved stolen stereos and loose change and such."
Dean said that a few of the cars were left unlocked making it easier for criminals to break in.
The rash of thefts began the first week of January at the 60 block of Martin Luther King Dr. with the theft of a stereo system, Detective Chuck Brooks of the Atmore Police Department said.
Since then nine cars have been reported as being burglarized. They include:
