Atmore T-ball hopefuls take heart.
The deadline for Cal Ripken T-ball registration has been extended.
"People can come by at 8:30 a.m. Saturday for late registrations," Kevin Snow, Vice President of Atmore T-Ball, said. "We're holding tryouts at 9 a.m. and anyone wishing to register late should show up before that."
Snow said he hoped there would be a few late sign-ups.
"We're about 20 or 30 kids short," Snow said. "We usually have 11 or 12 teams, each with 11 or 12 players, and right now we need at least 20 more to have that."
Snow has been working with Atmore T-Ball for approximately six years and has been working as Vice President for one year.
"I'm just starting my second year," Snow said.
Snow wanted to remind everyone of the eligibility requirements for T-Ball.
"A child must be five years old prior to Aug. 1 of this year and cannot have reached eight years old by the same date," Snow said.
Snow also wanted to stress early arrivals for tryouts Saturday.
"We need everyone to be there at 9 a.m. or before," he said.
