Our View
There have been several changes to the staff of The Advance over the years and some things have sometimes been hit or miss.
Progress or as it is sometimes called Horizons, our biggest issue of each year, is one such thing.
The current staff of the Advance has worked many late hours and weekends to make this the best progress edition in the history of this publication.
We are working to build a cleaner, better product than we ever have before.
That's why it's important that we get your support. If your company needs to be in the biggest nicest edition of this paper that has ever been produced let us know.
If a member of our staff is asking you questions, know that your answers will become a part of a historical issue of this paper.
We appreciate the comments, good or bad about our regular editions of the paper.
Negative comments let us know what we are not doing right and positive comments tell us when we are.
Thankfully most of the comments we have received as a new staff are complimentary.
We are working to consistently bring you the information you want to read.

Our condolences
The Atmore Advance would like to send it's warmest condolences to Mayor Shell and his family for the loss of their family's matriarch, Edna Shell, 92, of Walnut Hill.
Though the current Advance staff did not know Mrs. Shell personally, we consider Mayor Shell a friend. He has always been there when we needed a comment or help with any matter.
Many in this city likely feel the same way.
When the mayor was named Citizen of the Year at this year's Chamber of Commerce Banquet, his mother was in attendance.
Shortly after that banquet we asked the mayor what his mother thought of the award and what he thought of her being there.
He told us he would not have been where he is today without her love, support and guidance. He told us that she was very proud of his accomplishments.
We know this is a great loss to the mayor and his brother Cary and their sister Linda and their families.
Our prayers are with that family through this difficult time.
