T-ball heats up

Atmore Cal Ripken T-Ball came back from Spring Break in full force, and would have lit up the scoreboards at Heritage Park if such things were present.
James Gang 18
Challengers 17
On March 14, the Challengers came up one run short in a tangle with the James Gang.
Leading hitters for the Challengers were Garrett Emmons, who scored three runs and knocked in two; Haley Leachren, who scored two runs and drove in another; Jacob Gibbs, who crossed the plate and sent another across once; T.J. Knott, who scored and drove in two; Morgan Myrick, who scored one run and knocked one across the plate; Zack Johns, who scored three times and notched two RBI; Bradley Geck, who scored twice and knocked in two runs; Brayden Hubbard, who scored once and drove in one; Cheyenne Jackson, who drove in four runs and scored one run; Ashlyn Glick, who scored a run; and Carson Barnett, who knocked in a run.

The Challengers suffered another tough loss March 18 when they fell 24-21 to the Huddle House Scramblers.
Leading batters for the Challengers were Carson Barnett, with one RBI; Haley Leachman, two runs and one RBI; Jacob Gibbs and T.J. Knott, who both scored three times and drove in one; Morgan Myrick, who scored twice and knocked in two runs; Zack Johns, who had three runs and three RBI; Bradley Geck, who crossed the plate four times and sent three more runners home; Brayden Hubbard, who scored two runs and knocked in three; Cheyenne Jackson, who scored one run and knocked in two; and Ashlyn Glick, who scored one run to go along with four RBI.

The runs continued to come in droves March 24 when the Shockers took on the Pumpers.
Leading batters for the Shockers were Adam Barnhill, with two runs; Lauren Stacey, who scored two runs and drove in three; Christina Thorpe, who crossed the plate twice and drove in two more; Brad Quimby, who scored four times and drove in two runs; Olivia Tatum, who also scored four runs and batted in another; Thomas Boothe, who scored one run and drove in three; James Lewis, who scored once and drove in two; Zack Brewton, who scored three times and batted in two more; Brandon Quaker, who drove in a whopping five runs and scored once; Henry Hadley, who knocked in one run; and Colton Peebles, who scored once and drove in one.

After a week off for Spring Break, the Phillies returned to action in style by pounding the Coolers.
Leading hitters for the Phillies were Conner Sealee, who scored two runs; Alia Snow, who crossed the plate three times; Bradley Rolin, Tyler Salls, Xan McGhee, Aaron Salter, and Melika Brown, who all scored twice, and Ashton Thomas, who scored once.

The James Gang and Shockers sent runs across the plate at a torrid pace last Tuesday evening, with the James Gang coming on top in the end.
Leading the James Gang were Auburn Bailey, who scored six runs; Ryan Johnson, who scored another six runs and drove in another; Gene Lucas, who crossed the plate five times; Blake Allen, who knocked in eight James Gang runners and scored another six for himself; Lanie Allen, who crossed the plate six time and batted three more across; Stephen Gehman, who both scored and knocked in six runs; Eric McKaskill, who scored once to go along with seven RBI; and Hana Bailey, who drove in four runs.
Leading Shockers were James Lewis, who scored three times and drove in two more; Lauren Stacey, who scored four times; Christian Thorpe, who crossed the plate twice and drove in one run; Brad Quimby, who scored five times and drove in six; Olivia Tatum, who also came home five times, drove in three runs; Brandon Beechy, who scored four runs and had three RBI; Adam Barnhill, who scored three times and drove in one; Zack Brewton, who scored three times and had five RBI; Brandon Quaker, who knocked in three runs; Colton Peebles, who drove in five Shockers; Henry Hadley, who scored two times, and Thomas Boothe, who scored twice and drove in two runs.
