Amber Nicole Averette
Moulton – Miss Amber Nicole Averette, 20, passed away Friday, May 20. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 24 at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Lloyd Hicks officiating. Graveside services followed at Flomaton Cemetery. The family received friends May 23 at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Amber was a native of Courtland, Ala., a former resident of Century since 1992, and a resident of Moulton for the past three months. She was a loving mother. She is survived by two sons, Willie Averette and Deontay Averette, both of Century; her parents, Stanley and Lisa Benzie of Century; two brothers, Jonathan Averette of Century and Patrick Jones of Decatur, Ala.; three sisters, Micki and Monica Jones, both of Century, and Brittany Jones of Kalamazoo, Mich.; and her grandparents, Mamie Kirby of Moulton, Leon Kirby of Moulton, and Marilyn Benzie of PawPaw, Mich.
James Hardy
Pensacola – Mr. James "Buddy" Hardy, 62, passed away Sunday, May 22 at a local hospital. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 24 at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Stokes officiating. Graveside services followed at Godwin Cemetery. The family received friends Monday, May 23 at Eastside Chapel.
Mr. Hardy was a native of Bratt, and a resident of Flomaton for the past 15 years. He attended the Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Vera Hardy, and a grandson, James Hardy. He is survived by his son, Shane Hardy of Polk City, Fla.; a stepson, Tony Datuin of Rogersville, Ala.; his daughter, Lisa Hardy Martin of Flomaton; two stepdaughters, Lita Tamondong of Lakeland, Fla., and Lori McDonald of Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister, Ann Hardy Sims of Century; and eight grandchildren.
Willie Carter
Atmore – Mr. Willie Carter, 55, of Atmore passed away Monday, May 23 at his residence.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced later by Turner Funeral Chapel.
John Riley Gales
Bay Minette – Mr. John Riley Gales, 57, of Atmore passed away Friday, May 20 at North Baldwin Hospital.
