Letter to the Editor
We would like to say thank you to Atmore/McCullough and the surrounding areas for all the loving support,prayers, money, wonderful food, and the most beautiful flowers during our time of sorrow from the loss of our son, brother, uncle, and best friend, Ricky D. Tolin.
Ricky lost his fight for life on April 29 in a Mobile hospital.
Ricky touched the lives of so many in such a short time. His smile, his hugs, and his loving nature will live in us forever.
A special thank you to Othis Thames &Larry Peacock for giving a heart felt service and all the support and prayers; and Mr Joe Mac Petty at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home for a great understanding and showing the path to take while holding our hands along the way. Also to Carolyn Presley of McCullough for going far and above to insure that the food and all the needs were met in our time of sorrow .
Thank you to all the pallbearers; Jimmy Dale Boyington, James Tolin, Roy Tolbert, Tony Tolbert, James Scott, and Rick's special nephew, James Scott. II .
For Rick's best friend Shelton Sells, we love you and thanks for being a friend.
To all the special family and friends that have called and been there for support, thank you all so much. God bless you &yours…

I would like to tell you all that there is no place like home and Atmore and McCullough have shown my family and I in Lubbock, Texas, why our hearts belong to you there. At the time we lost our brother &uncle we were 1000 miles away; but all of you wonderful people just jumped right in there to help our mom &dad as if they were your own family; reminding us of life at its best. When you have a community come together and show such love and support in a time of need, it only shows there's still good in this world of so much crime and pain. There is a lot to be said for small town and country living. Atmore and McCullough – YOU ARE THE BEST.. Thank you for being a great place to call home.
