Clarence E. Snow, Jr.
MOBILE – Mr. Clarence "Junior" E. Snow, Jr., 73, of Uriah passed away June 3 at Springhill Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held Sunday, June 5 at Monroe Chapel Funeral Home in Monroeville with Rev. Mark Whittingdon and Rev. Bruce Chapman officiating. Graveside services followed at Poplar Springs Cemetery in Uriah. The family received friends Saturday, June 4 at Monroe Chapel Funeral Home.
Mr. Snow resided in Uriah and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Uriah. Mr. Snow, a Korean War Veteran, served in the United States Army and attained the rank of Sergeant upon his discharge. He retired from the Alabama Corrections Facility in Atmore where he worked as a counselor. Mr. Snow had also worked as a barber and as a deputy sheriff with the Monroe County Sheriff's department. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence E. Snow, Sr., and Hattie Texanna Dollie Snow, and his brother, James Brooks. He is survived by his wife, Alice L. Snow of Uriah; two sons, Mike Snow and his wife, Regina, of Excel, and Darrell Snow of Uriah; a step-son, Edward Greenwald of Uriah; two brothers, James "Buck" Snow of Gadsden and George Snow of Uriah; two sisters, Voncile Murphy and Peggy House, both of Uriah; one grandson, three step-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Monroe Chapel Funeral Home.
Bonnie Jean Smith
BREWTON – Mrs. Bonnie Jean Smith, 65, passed away Tuesday, May 31 in a local hospital. Funeral services were held Thursday, June 2 at Craver's Funeral Home in Brewton with Pastor David Odom officiating. Graveside services followed at Hartwood Cemetery. The family received friends June 1 at Craver's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Smith was born in Lenox, and had been a resident of the Brewton area most of her life. She was a licensed practical nurse. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Atmore Baptist Temple. She is survived by a son, Darren K. Smith of Flomaton; her mother, Mrs. Ruby V. Waller of Brewton; six brothers, Aubrey Waller, Jr. of Haleyville, Gary Waller of Brewton, Guy Waller of Brewton, Bobby Waller of Bratt, Larry Waller of Sommerville, and David Waller of Brewton; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

ATMORE – Mrs. Sharon Dawson, 46, of Atmore passed away Monday, June 6 at her residence.
Funeral services are incomplete at this time and will be announced later by Turner Funeral Chapel.
