The season is over for Atmore Cal Ripken Baseball after another tough weekend in Mobile County.
Atmore's 10- and 11-year-old Cal Ripken All-Stars were both eliminated over the weekend.

Coming off a heartbreaking loss to Semmes Thursday night, Atmore's 10-year-old All-Stars were sent home in similar fashion Friday, when an eight-run rally was not enough to take out Theodore's All-Stars.
In a game that was a scorekeeper's nightmare, no inning saw neither team score; and there were only two scoreless half innings.
Joseph Parker led Atmore on the night, scoring five runs. Clayton Vickrey was not far behind with four runs of his own. Fred Knight and A.J. Matthews each scored three times for Atmore. Matthews also added a double. Brandon Metzler and Austin Albritton each scored twice; and Dustin Bishop, Lateef Howard, Jordan Sasser, and Dustin Mack scored the remaining Atmore runs.

Gulf Shores 7
The 11-year-old All-Stars fared much better Friday night, taking it to Gulf Shores by a score of 13-7.
Gulf Shores jumped out to an early 4-0 lead, but Atmore rallied for two runs in the fourth inning and 11 in the fifth to take the win.
Cody Merchant led Atmore with three runs scored. He also added two doubles. Jaylen Henry, James Dean, Tanner Boatwright, and Dustin Wilson all scored twice on the day. Dillion Rolin and Tacorian Brown added the other Atmore runs.
Jon Dean, Dustin Wilson, and Cody Merchant all pitched for Atmore.

Atmore 3
In what has become a recurring theme over the course of this All-Star Baseball season, the Atmore 11-year-old All-Stars were eliminated Saturday afternoon by Theodore.
Theodore scored six runs in the first inning to make life difficult for Atmore.
Chase Jaye, Dustin Wilson, and Logan Smith scored the three Atmore runs.
Nicholas Linam and Dillion Rolin pitched for Atmore.
Theodore defeated Atmore in all five age groups of All-Star Baseball tournaments, and four of those wins eliminated Atmore teams.
